Volunteer Spotlight: Rodger Roeser

Cleveland AMA

Rodger is the CEO of Cleveland & Cincinnati-based marketing and PR strategy firm The Eisen Agency, which works with organizations throughout the U.S. to assist in their growth, lead generation, communications and branding initiatives. Rodger finds all client work exciting. He is a proud graduate of Kent State University.

What is your position within the AMA?

I am the Public Relations Advisor.

What does the Public Relations Advisor do?
I assist in spreading the word about what AMA NEO does, how amazing AMA NEO is and how incredible its people are.

Why did you join the AMA?
I enjoy being part of such a vibrant group of creative and smart professionals. And, networking at events is an outstanding way to continue to increase my contacts and knowledge in our ever-changing industry.

What do you love about volunteering?
It’s good to help where and when you can, and if you believe in the profession, I believe you owe something back to it.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy playing music and writing songs as the bass guitarist and lead singer of Turning Force. I’m a bourbon and cigar aficionado. And, I’m the guy you want on your trivia team.

What are three interesting facts about you?
My band had a billboard 100 song (“Was it You?”) in the early ‘90s. My new CD should be out this year. I am an excellent horseman (a fact that I also have to thank for my two shattered front teeth).

If you could be one character in Mad Men (or any other television show) who would it be?
I would just like to be the client for a change. Almost 20 years in agency, I’m ready to be on the other side!

What are your career and/or personal ambitions?
Looking to slow down, sip more bourbon and pursue my next career as a beach bum/world traveler.

What is your dream position or company that you would like to work for?
Either the PR person for the Cleveland Indians, Pro Football Hall of Fame or KISS. Or, the CEO of The Eisen Agency.
